HARRISBURG, Pa., Dec. 26 (UPI) -- A woman was tricked into paying $50 to two men posing as police officers on Christmas day in East Hanover Township, Pa.

State police said that when 75-year-old Etsuko Wells was stopped by two men identifying themselves as police officers, she was told she had to pay a $50 speeding fine or be arrested, Pennsylvania's WGAL-TV, Lancaster, reported Wednesday.

Police said that Wells then paid one of the men to avoid being taken into custody.

Wells said the two fake cops were driving a dark car with a yellow light on its roof and were wearing security-type uniforms when they pulled her car over on Tuesday.

WGAL-TV said police were investigating the crime, but no arrests had been made to date.
