BOSTON, Dec. 19 (UPI) -- U.S. Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., has joined the list of presidential hopefuls embracing holiday-related advertisements.
With the help of his two daughters and wife Michelle, Obama has unleashed new TV ads focused on the holiday spirit and his campaigning efforts in Iowa, The Boston Globe said Wednesday.
"In this holiday season we are reminded that the things that unite us as a people are more powerful and enduring than anything that sets us apart. And we all have a stake in each other, in something larger than ourselves," the candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination said in the promotion.
Meanwhile, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani is also set to release his own holiday-based TV advertisement this week.
"I wish for peace with strength. Secure borders. A government that spends less than it takes in. Lower taxes for our businesses and families," the candidate for the Republican presidential nomination said. "And I really hope, that all of the presidential candidates can just get along."
