Bill Clinton lights up Hillary's campaign

DES MOINES, Iowa, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Just weeks before the Iowa caucuses begin, Bill Clinton surfaced in his wife's presidential campaign with a message of "change, change, change."

The former president suggested the "change, change, change" theme following a meeting with campaign strategists in a bid to wrest momentum from rival Barack Obama.

"Let me go through the basic message frame: If you want to have change in this country, if you want a new beginning, then how about electing someone who has a lifetime of making change?" Hillary Clinton's campaign strategist Mark Penn said on a conference call with the former president, The New York Times reported.

Bill Clinton campaigned for his front-runner wife in South Carolina Monday and was to return Tuesday to Iowa, where caucuses begin in three weeks, with basketball icon Magic Johnson.
