PERUGIA, Italy, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Police in Perugia, Italy, say DNA links Rudy Hermann Guede to the killing of British college student Meredith Kercher.
Guede, 20, who was arrested in Germany, has admitted to being at the scene the night Kercher, 21, London, was killed six weeks ago, The Sunday Telegraph reported. But he has insisted he is innocent in her death.
Police now allege Guede's DNA was found on the bra torn from Kercher's body, in addition to his bloody palm print found on a cushion in the home she shared with Amanda Knox, 20, a student from Seattle, who remains in jail after being named a suspect along with her Italian boyfriend, Raffaele Sollecito, the Telegraph reported. Knox and Sollecito maintain they are innocent.
Kercher was buried Friday at Croydon Parish Church in London.
