OCALA, Fla., Dec. 16 (UPI) -- A 10-year-old Florida girl could face a felony weapons charge after she brought a steak knife to school with her lunch, the child's uncle said.
Marion County deputies arrested the girl Thursday at Sunrise Elementary School in Ocala, Fla., and took her to the Juvenile Assessment Center, The Orlando (Fla.) Sentinel reported Sunday.

School faculty had seen her cutting her steak lunch with the knife brought from home. School officials confiscated the knife before calling the sheriff's office and the girl's uncle, Kenneth Thomas.
He said the girl was upset by the arrest, the newspaper reported.
