WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Police in Utah say a woman imprisoned by her boyfriend got a neighbor's attention by writing "Call 911" on a window.
The neighbor in West Valley City called police and remained outside the window until they arrived, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.
Fernando Orozco-Trevizo was arrested at a construction site Tuesday, four days after the woman was found. He faces charges that include aggravated kidnapping and assault.
Orozco-Trevizo allegedly chained his girlfriend to an engine block. Police said he first described it as a consensual game and later said he thought his girlfriend was having an affair.
Police said the woman had abrasions on her leg from the chain and other injuries from alleged assaults. She has been moved out of state.
