PLAINFIELD, Ill., Dec. 11 (UPI) -- A Plainfield, Ill., minister said months before Stacy Peterson was last seen, she told him her husband had killed his ex-wife.

The Rev. Neil Schori, appearing Monday on Fox's "On the Record" show with Greta Van Susteren, said Stacy Peterson, 23, told him at a coffee shop her husband, former police officer Drew Peterson, 53, killed ex-wife Kathleen Savio. Savio's death in her bathtub was ruled an accidental drowning but her body was recently exhumed for an autopsy, the Chicago Tribune said.

Drew Peterson has been named a suspect in Stacy Peterson's Oct. 28 disappearance.

Police on Monday resumed searching a canal but haven't said why they're looking there.

Meanwhile, Stacy Peterson's family had a news conference with relatives of four other missing people to draw attention to their cases.
