Poll: Dems OK with presidential choices

WASHINGTON, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Democrats are more likely than Republicans to say they have chosen who they will support for their party's presidential nomination, a new poll indicated.

Democrats who have made up their minds are also more likely than Republicans to have decided on one particular candidate -- New York Sen. Hillary Clinton -- while Republicans who have made up their minds have not mostly agreed on a single candidate, the Gallup poll showed.

Seventy-four percent of Republicans say they have not yet decided whom they will support for the nomination.

Among Democrats, 69 percent say they have not made up their minds about whom they will support. Among those who have, Clinton was chosen by more than twice as many Democrats as any other candidate.

The poll, based on telephone interviews with 1,003 national adults, age 18 and older, was conducted Nov. 26-29. The poll has a margin of error of about 6 percent.
