ST. LOUIS, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- The St. Charles County, Mo., prosecutor said there will be no criminal charges in a suicide case involving a bullied teenage girl and Myspace.com.

County Prosecutor Jack Banas said that available evidence shows that the actions of people involved in Internet bullying on Myspace.com, which allegedly led to the girl's suicide, did not meet standards for harassment, stalking or endangering the welfare of a child, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported Monday.

Banas announced the decision at a news conference to discuss the Megan Meier case. Meier, 13, hanged herself last year after allegedly being harassed by an 18-year-old girl via her Myspace Web page.

Prosecutors had been investigating whether any laws were broken or charges could be filed.

Megan hanged herself Oct. 16, 2006, shortly after receiving cruel messages on the Internet
