Dr. Robert Chapman said it's possible she could have been pregnant, but not by more than three weeks because her womb and ovaries did not show any apparent sign of change, The Daily Mail reported Monday.
Chapman, testifying at Diana's inquest in London, said she did not appear to have consumed alcohol in the hours before her death, though tests showed her lcompanion, Dodi Fayed, did, the Mail reported.
The princess and Fayed dined together shortly before they were killed in a single-car crash in a Paris tunnel Aug. 31, 1997.
Investigating authorities blamed the crash on a drunken chauffeur driving fast and recklessly. Fayed's father, Mohamed al Fayed, says the two were murdered by British intelligent agents because Diana was pregnant with Dodi Fayed's baby.
