In New Hampshire polls, Giuliani, a former New York mayor, has posed the stiffest challenge to Romney, a former Massachusetts governor, though Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., edged ahead of Giuliani to take second place in a CNN-WMUR-TV poll released this week, the Telegraph reported.

During recent stops in New Hampshire, Romney and Giuliani both accused the other of poor fiscal policies during their time in office. The New Hampshire primary is Jan. 8.
