PERGUIA, Italy, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Police allege a bloody fingerprint has linked a semi-professional basketball player to the death scene of a British student in Perugia, Italy.

An international arrest warrant was issued Monday for Rudy Hermann Guede, 21, ANSA reported Tuesday.

Police allege Guede was the fourth person in the apartment of Meredith Kercher, 22, when she was killed Nov. 2.

Kercher's roommate, Amanda Knox of Seattle, and two others are being held on suspicion of involvement in the killing but have not been charged.

Guede, believed to have left Perugia the day Kercher was killed, was identified by a bloody fingerprint found on Kercher's pillow, ANSA reported.

Guede played for Perugia's basketball team in Italy's C1 third division several years ago.
