LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- A California congressman's grandchildren have been kidnapped, apparently by their mother.

The suspect, Jennifer DeJongh, is divorced from Brian Miller, son of U.S. Rep. Gary Miller, R-Calif., The Los Angeles Times reported. DeJongh does not have legal custody of the three children, and she and her husband are battling over how to make decisions regarding them, DeJongh's father told the newspaper.

The children were identified as Brian Miller, 8, and 6-year-old twins Evan and Christian.

DeJongh may have taken the children to Las Vegas or elsewhere in Nevada. She allegedly snatched them Monday night.
