LAS VEGAS, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Trial observers predict O.J. Simpson will face a hostile jury pool when he is tried in Las Vegas on kidnapping and armed robbery charges.

Nevada lawyers told the Las Vegas Review-Journal a Clark County jury would be more conservative and far less sympathetic to Simpson than the Los Angeles panel that acquitted him in the 1994 slaying of his ex-wife, Nicole, and her friend, Ron Goldman.

The notorious killings and the high-profile acquittal will likely handicap Simpson's defense in the eyes of jurors who have heard about the deaths for several years.

"Nevada's juries are tough juries," said attorney Robert Langford. "We're a lot more common-sense oriented and a lot more likely to convict."

Some observers told the Review-Journal similar cases would likely be settled out of court, and they said the defense should try to reach a plea agreement. Simpson was bound over for trial last week.

Simpson's legal team has blasted the credibility of the witnesses in the Las Vegas case and predicted another "not guilty" verdict.
