SEATTLE, Nov. 19 (UPI) -- A body believed by Seattle FBI officials to be that of Wayne State basketball star Tony Harris has been found in Brazil.

Brazilian news media reported Harris' body had been found about 50 miles east of Brasilia, The Seattle Times reported Monday.

One television station's Web site reported his body was found hung from a tree, while a newspaper said it was found in the bushes with an electrical cord tied around his neck.

Harris went missing in Brazil nearly two weeks ago, while playing for a professional team in Brasilia. He had previously played in Brazil for several years.

FBI spokeswoman Robbie Burroughs in Seattle said Brazilian law-enforcement officials notified an FBI agent assigned to the U.S. Embassy in Brazil that Harris' body had been found at an outdoor location, but no other information was provided.

The body was tentatively identified based on the body's physical description and clothing, said Burroughs.
