BAGHDAD, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- A video shows five British men seized in Baghdad last May in good health but drained by their ordeal, The Sunday Times of London reported.

The video and accompanying message from the kidnappers represent the first information released publicly about the technical consultant and four bodyguards abducted from the Iraqi finance ministry.

The captors said they will hold the men until Qais al-Khazaali, a leader in the Shiite Mehdi Army, is released from an Iraqi prison. Khazaali was arrested by U.S. soldiers after masterminding a raid in which five U.S. soldiers were killed, the Times reported.

British hostage negotiators said they have no power to free Khazaali and U.S. forces have said he will remain in custody, the Times reported.

A senior Iraqi official said the video of the kidnapped men showed they are "psychologically and emotionally tired" but have been well treated and are being fed regularly, the Times reported.
