IAEA: Iran not fully cooperating

VIENNA, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- The U.N. nuclear watchdog Thursday reported Iran is providing less and less information about its nuclear program.

In a report issued in Vienna, the International Atomic Energy Administration said the quality of Iran's information has been diminishing since early 2006 and as a result the IAEA is forced to be "reactive" instead of "proactive."

Iran has been taunting the world with boasts of its nuclear prowess and vows that no one would force it to give up its nuclear ambitions, despite economic sanctions.

Gregory L. Schulte, the U.S. envoy to the IAEA, sharply criticized Iran's failure to cooperate, The Washington Post reported.

"So Iran has not met the world's expectation that it would disclose information on both its current and past programs," Schulte said.

The White House said Thursday's report is more evidence Iran has no intention of working with the international community.
