STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Two Swedish teenagers were charged Friday with planning a shooting in imitation of a Finnish boy who killed eight people and himself people at his school.
Teachers at the Enskede Gard Gymnasium in Stockholm called police, Svenska Dagbladet reported. A teacher had overheard the boys talking and questioned one of them.
Rolf Oden, the alleged target of the plot and head teacher at the school, told Dagens Nyheter he did not want to discuss the case. He described the boys as "damaged people" and said he wants to protect them.
The boys were allegedly talking about the Finnish shooting and the Columbine massacre 10 years ago in the United States. The Finnish teen, who killed himself, was inspired by Columbine.
