DES MOINES, Iowa, Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., on the campaign trail in Iowa, told reporters Friday she talks to her husband as often as she can.
The presidential hopeful was responding to a reporter who asked if former President Bill Clinton is a "distraction" to her campaign.
"I'm thrilled to have his support and look forward to being able to call on him in every capacity I can imagine," she said.
Sen. Clinton has been the front-runner in the Democratic field throughout the campaign so far, although in Iowa she and her Senate colleague, Barack Obama of Illinois, are running neck-and-neck.
Ohio Gov. Ted Strickland will be Clinton's guest Saturday at the annual Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner in Des Moines, Iowa. Strickland endorsed Clinton Friday and she said she wants him to see "9,000 active Democrats being whipped up to get ready for the caucuses on Jan. 3."
