H.L. Hunt relative sues over trust

DALLAS, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- The great-grandson of oil tycoon H.L. Hunt filed suit in Texas against the trustee for two family trust funds, claiming $3 billion in assets were mismanaged.

Albert Hill III also filed suit against his father, Al Hill Jr., and two aunts, alleging they conspired with trustee Tom Hunt to force him and his family out of the trust due to his non-compliance with a plan to divide the trust money among them and sell their interest in Hunt Petroleum Corp, The Dallas Morning News reported Friday.

"Al Hill III didn't sue his father until after his father sued him and said he was not the beneficiary of these trusts, fired him from the family business and filed documents in probate court that made certain claims that would oust Al and his grandchildren from any interests in these trusts," said William Brewer, attorney for the younger Hill.

The suit claims Hill III became a direct beneficiary of one of the trusts H.L Hunt left to his six children -- the Margaret Hunt trust -- when his father "disclaimed" most of his interests in 2005.
