JERUSALEM, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Five Palestinian civilians died Sunday in Gaza when Israel retaliated for a rocket attack in Negev, it was reported.
Israel retaliated with two airstrikes after the al-Quds Brigades, the Islamic Jihad's military wing, fired three Qassam rockets into Sderot in Negev, Ynetnews.com reported.
The airstrikes killed five Palestinian civilians, including a father and son working as guards at a factory east of Jabalya, Palestinian sources said.
The airstrikes destroyed a Qassam launcher in northern Gaza, said Israeli military officials.
Saturday, Israeli aircraft killed a Hamas gunman and injured five others near a Hamas security compound south of Khan Younis. The strike was in retaliation for a Hamas mortar attack in the western Negev Friday, Ynetnews.com reported
