Waitress charged with ID theft

GERMANTOWN, Tenn., Nov. 1 (UPI) -- A waitress at a Tennessee restaurant has admitted using a hidden magnetic card reader to steal information from her customers, police said.

Jessica Holden was arrested after the owner of Mr. B's, an eatery in Germantown, conducted an investigation, The (Memphis) Commercial Appeal reported. Theresa Baker was tipped off by customers who ate together and later realized their card information had been stolen.

"I never felt so violated in my life," Baker said of her longtime employee.

Holden reportedly told police she met a man named Chico at a party and agreed to supply him with credit card numbers and expiration dates, receiving money and gift cards in payment. She allegedly hid a magnetic card reader in the restaurant kitchen, allowing her to swipe the cards.

Police in Germantown said the Secret Service has become involved in the investigation.
