The New York Daily News said Croatian singer Marko Perkovic and his band, Thompson, extol ethnic cleansing and fans often greet the band with the Nazi salute. They are scheduled to play Friday night in a community center adjoining the Croatian Church of St. Cyril & Methodius.
The Simon Wiesenthal Center's Mark Weitzman said Perkovic's ultra-nationalist act has been banned in the Netherlands and Canada.
"They should know better," Abraham Foxman, director of the Anti-Defamation League, told the newspaper. "People should not go to a church to hear hatred or the glorification of Nazism. No place of worship should host it or welcome it."
