Three skinheads convicted in Russia

MOSCOW, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- Three Russian skinheads have been sentenced in Moscow for two racially motivated attacks and one homicide.

The Moscow City Court sentenced Sergei Beryakov to 14 years in a maximum-security penitentiary after he was found guilty of racially motivated attacks and murder, Itar-Tass reported Wednesday.

A minor, whose identity was not released, was given a sentence of nine years in a correctional institution for the attacks and murder.

Sergei Ushakov, who was not convicted in the murder case, was given a three-year sentence.

The three killed a man in an October 2006 attack, beating him severely and stabbing him 42 times.
