LAS VEGAS, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- Two co-defendants agreed Monday to testify against O.J. Simpson in exchange for lesser charges in a Las Vegas hotel robbery case, officials said.

Court information officer Michael Sommermeyer said Charles Cashmore went before Judge Joe Bonaventure in Las Vegas Monday, saying he would plead guilty to being an accessory to robbery, CNN reported. In court, Clark County District Attorney David Roger said Cashmore would testify against Simpson and others. Cashmore's arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 23.

Meanwhile, court officials said Walter Alexander also was expected to plead to lesser charges in exchange for his testimony against Simpson and others charged, Las Vegas television station KVVU reported.

Simpson, 60, and five others were arrested last month in connection with the alleged armed robbery of sports memorabilia, including many items the NFL hall-of-fame player and onetime murder defendant said were his. Simpson said no guns were used when he retrieved sports memorabilia that belonged to him from the off-Strip casino hotel room.

Simpson, Cashmore, Alexander, Clarence "C.J." Stewart, Michael McClinton and Charles Ehrlich were arrested and charged with several felonies in the incident.
