Mexican man accused of eating girlfriend

MEXICO CITY, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Mexican authorities arrested a man for allegedly killing his girlfriend and then eating parts of her, El Universal reported.

Police raided the home of Jose Luis Calva, an aspiring Mexican author, and discovered body parts that some speculate belong to his missing girlfriend, scattered throughout the house. Police are also looking into whether the suspect killed a prostitute.

Calva was reportedly working on a novel entitled "Cannibal Instincts."
