SURRY, Va., Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Only one of the dogs seized in the investigation of NFL quarterback Michael Vick's dog fighting ring in Virginia won't be placed in a new home or sanctuary.

A motion filed in a Virginia U.S. District Court said one of the 49 dogs "has a history biting humans" and will be euthanized, CNN reported Tuesday. The remaining animals will be allowed to interact with people to help them overcome their lack of socialization, the court order said.

U.S. Attorney Chuck Rosenberg said the dangerous dog "exhibited intense aggression to humans to the point where the evaluation could not safely be completed."

Vick pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges related to his dog fighting ring in August. He is scheduled for sentencing Dec. 10.

The former quarterback will also be arraigned Wednesday on Virginia state charges related to the dog fighting ring.
