Foster father gets life in child sex abuse

DELTONA, Fla., Sept. 28 (UPI) -- A onetime foster parent was sentenced to life in prison by a Florida judge Friday for sexually abusing a 3-year-old girl in his custody.

Robert R. Clinton of Deltona, Fla., pleaded no contest to a charge of lewd and lascivious molestation, a felony that carries a life sentence in the Sunshine State.

Clinton was arrested in February on a long list of charges involving child pornography and sex acts he committed while the child was in his home for two weeks, the Orlando Sentinel said.
