PRAGUE, Czech Republic, Sept. 17 (UPI) -- Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari said he would appreciate it if the Czech government continued training Iraqi police, Prague Radio said Monday.

Zebari, on a three-day visit to Prague, is to sign a cooperation agreement with his Czech counterpart Karel Schwarzenberg.

Czech military police trained several thousands of Iraqi border police and customs officers in Iraq in the from December 2003 to January 2007.

Zebari warned an early withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq could seriously ruin his country and said it was crucial for Iraqis to be strong enough to maintain their security, the radio report said.
