COALVILLE, Utah, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Searchers in Summit County, Utah, have located a 3-year-old boy who had been lost alone in the wilderness for nearly an entire day.

Naomi Myrup said that when she learned her missing son, Benjamin, was found near the Provo River "in good condition," she was relieved a tragedy had been averted, the Deseret Morning News reported Wednesday.

"We're just glad he's back," Myrup said after Tuesday's rescue. "This is my baby, and he's back."

Myrup said her son became separated from a group at an area campsite early Tuesday morning.

Myrup thanked those who aided in the rescue effort.

"Nobody stopped until they found him," she told the Morning News. "I can't tell you how grateful a mother can be to have her baby back."
