Bulgaria seizes 120 pounds of heroin

SOFIA, Bulgaria, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Bulgarian police said they seized 120 pounds of heroin Wednesday when they stopped a man in a car with Dutch registration plates at the border with Turkey.

The heroin, stashed in 104 packets and hidden in a secret compartment, was uncovered during a regular vehicle check when the 43-year-old Turkish suspect allegedly tried to enter Bularia from Turkey at the Kapitan Andreevo border crossing point, the Bulgarian news agency SNA reported.
