SPARTANBURG, S.C., Sept. 11 (UPI) -- The band director at a South Carolina high school has been charged with molesting members of the school color guard and offering one money for sex.
Thomas Khoe of Campobello was arrested late Monday, The Spartanburg Herald Sentinel reported. Officials at Chapman High School in Spartanburg say they first learned of the alleged abuse in late August from girls who said it had been going on for more than a year.
Investigators say that there could be more victims.
The girls, all 16 and 17, described Khoe rubbing himself against them and said that he liked to dance with them and bump them with his buttocks. One said that Khoe offered her $5,000 for sex.
Khoe, who had been working at Chapman for nine years, was placed on leave the day the alleged victims came forward, officials said.
He has been charged with one count of criminal solicitation and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and of assault and battery.
