MEXICO CITY, Aug. 31 (UPI) -- Mexico prepared Friday to be hit by Tropical Storm Henriette off the Pacific coast, El Universal reported online.
The storm could become a hurricane by Sunday, meteorologists said, though is not expected to make landfall.
The storm Friday flooded parts of the world-famous tourist destination of Acapulco, officials said.
Mexico escaped major damages when Hurricane Dean hit its Caribbean coast earlier this month.
