TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- Iran said it would begin production of a new precision “smart” bomb for its air force this weekend.

The Fars News Agency said the Qased bomb can be deployed aboard its F-5 and F-4 fighters and presumably the upcoming second-generation Saeqeh fighter.

Western military experts say it remains unclear if the bomb’s precision capability is based on a laser or television guidance system.
