LONDON, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- The radioactive material used to kill a former KGB agent turned up at a gentlemen’s club in London, British authorities revealed.

The central London club Hey Jo, which offers lap dances, was visited by Andrei Lugovov, the man suspected of poisoning Alexander Litvinenko, a frequent critic of the Russian government.

Authorities found traces of deadly polonium-210 on the seats at Hey Jo during their intensive investigation into Litvinenko’s death last fall, The Independent said Saturday.

The bill for cleaning up the 27 locations where the isotope was found has topped 3 million pounds ($5.97 million), the British newspaper said.
