WARSAW, Poland, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- The Polish Law and Justice Party has dissolved its parliamentary coalition with two minor parties, making elections likely in October.

Two members of the ruling party have been named to replace ministers from the League of Polish Families and the Self Defense Party, Poland Radio reported.

Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski told the radio network the fate of the government rests in the hands of the Democratic Left Alliance, which must decide whether to vote for the dissolution of Parliament. Julia Pitera, a member of Parliament from the Civic Platform, the largest opposition group, said she is certain there will be an election.
