GLASGOW, Scotland, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- An accused terrorist who was severely burned in the crash of a Jeep into a Glasgow Airport terminal has died in a Scottish hospital.

Kafeel Ahmed, 27, of Bangalore, India, suffered burns to 90 percent of his body in the June 30 attack and died Thursday night in the burns unit of Glasgow Royal Infirmary, the BBC reported Saturday.

Ahmed had been under armed guard in critical condition since he and Bilal Talal Samad Abdullah crashed into into the terminal, causing the Jeep to burst into flames.

Abdullah was charged with conspiracy to cause explosions and Ahmed's brother, Dr. Sabeel Ahmed, was arrested in Liverpool the day of the crash for allegedly failing to give police information that could have stopped the attack.
