March marks two years since Shfaram attack

SHFARAM, Israel, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- The killing two years ago of four Arabs by a Jewish gunman was marked Saturday in a solemn march by Arabs and Israelis in Shfaram.

More than a thousand people, including Knesset members and local Arab leaders, marched from city hall to the site of the killings, Haaretz reported.

The four Arabs died when Eden Natan-Zada opened fire inside a bus. Natan-Zada subsequently was beaten to death by a mob who stormed the vehicle.

Seven suspects in Natan-Zada's death were arrested and later released. Shuweiki Hatib, chairman of the Higher Arab Monitoring Committee in Israel, said Saturday the suspects should receive "a complete acquittal."

Israeli Attorney General Menachem Mazuz has yet to rule on whether the seven will be indicted.
