July 28, 2007 at 2:15 PM

GAZA, July 28 (UPI) -- Two Palestinians allegedly trying to plant explosives were killed Saturday by Israeli soldiers near the border fence in northern Gaza.

Palestinian sources said the two belonged to the al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, Fatah's military wing, Ynetnews.com reported.

The al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades and the Islamic Jihad have vowed to retaliate for the recent killings of seven senior Brigades members by Israeli troops, the online newspaper reported.
