Bush signs foreign investment law

WASHINGTON, July 26 (UPI) -- U.S. President George W. Bush Thursday signed the Foreign Investment and National Security Act of 2007 into law.

White House Press Secretary Tony Snow announced the signing:

"This legislation will strengthen our national security by ensuring a thorough and high-level review of acquisitions of U.S. companies by foreign firms that may present security considerations," said Snow.
