KIRKUK, Iraq, July 22 (UPI) -- An improvised bomb killed six police officers in Mosul and a booby-trapped body Sunday killed two police officers west of Kirkuk in Iraq.

The six officers were killed and two others injured Saturday on patrol in Harjar Valley in Mosul, where security forces also discovered 11 bodies in separate locations, reported the Kuwait News Agency, KUNA.

Near Kirkuk, a body found near a road close to Koba village exploded as police were carrying it, killing the two officers and wounding two others, KUNA reported.
