CLEVELAND, July 18 (UPI) -- U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio, was hospitalized this week in Cleveland after contracting a bout of food poisoning.
Officials from Kucinich's campaign camp said the candidate for the Democratic Party presidential nomination became ill last weekend while traveling and was ultimately hospitalized for food poisoning, The Cleveland Plain Dealer said Wednesday.
Kucinich spokesman Andy Juniewicz said Kucinich, who represents Ohio's 10th District, is expected to fully recover from his illness and return to work this week.
Juniewicz told the Plain Dealer that Kucinich, who was hospitalized Monday, was unable to determine how he had contracted food poisoning.
