NEW YORK, July 14 (UPI) -- A New York vice cop says strippers at a club were providing sexual services in back rooms while police were searching the front area.

Detective John Donofrio, testifying at a hearing on whether Scores West should keep its liquor license, described opening the door of a room he had been told was empty, the New York Daily News reported.

"A female opened the door," Donofrio said. "She was standing freely naked and there was a guy pulling his pants up."

In another room, he and his partner found a woman naked from the waist up with a man who was also putting on his pants.

Lt. Michael Costello testified on his negotiations with a stripper at the club in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan. Costello said the woman told him the charge for a private room would be $300 and for that he would get "much closer dancing and touching."

While that woman fudged on whether she would provide oral sex, another told him the charge for sexual intercourse was $600.
