Sticky-fingered guest stole from wedding

MAUMEE, Mich., July 13 (UPI) -- A southern Michigan woman faces theft charges after she allegedly crashed a wedding reception and helped herself to items from the gift table.

Victoria Cramer was charged in Maumee, Mich., with misdemeanors after wedding guests spotted her allegedly taking cards off the gift table and sticking them into her purse. Gift cards totaling $625 were missing from the event, The Toledo (Ohio) Blade said Friday.

The newspaper reported that Cramer had been accused earlier of stealing a card containing $100 meant for the bride and groom at another wedding.

The newspaper said police were investigating to see if Cramer had invited herself to any other receptions and if anything was missing.
