GLASGOW, Scotland, July 2 (UPI) -- British investigators say three doctors are believed to have played a role in last week's attempted car bombings in London and Glasgow, Scotland.
Eight people were under arrest Monday in the attempted terror attacks, CNN reported, the latest suspect a doctor identified only as "H."
Investigators earlier identified Dr. Bilal Abdulla, 27, as one of two men who drove an explosives-laden Jeep, which burst into flames, into a Glasgow Airport terminal Saturday, CNN said. The two also are believed responsible for the explosives-laden Mercedeses found in London Friday.
In addition to Abdulla, who is from Iraq, and "H," Jordan-educated neurosurgeon Mohammed Asha also was under arrest.
A suspicious device at Royal Alexandra Hospital in Glasgow, where one of Saturday's suspected is being treated, was destroyed. Another device was found in the hospital's parking lot Sunday.
The terror alert in the United Kingdom was raised to "critical" following Saturday's attack, the BBC reported.
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said it was "clear that we are dealing, in general terms, with people who are associated with al-Qaida."
