Kayaker spends two days in Gulf of Mexico

TIERRA VERDE, Fla., June 29 (UPI) -- A Florida man who spent more than two days floating in a kayak in the Gulf of Mexico was recovering after his rescue by the U.S. Coast Guard.

Michael Graham, 49, told WFLA-TV that a wave overturned his kayak and then swept him into the gulf Tuesday morning.

A casino ship saw him and called for help on Thursday.

"I was out there by myself at night, no food, no water. It turned out okay though," Graham told the Tampa, Fla., television station.
