LONDON, June 26 (UPI) -- California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said outgoing British Prime Minister Tony Blair should become a leader in the fight against climate change.

Schwarzenegger was in London Monday where he suggested Blair take on the role of global-warming envoy in addition to his future job as an envoy to the Middle East.

"Maybe he can do both?" Schwarzenegger suggested at a London news conference, as reported by The Times of London.

The governor, who was the final foreign dignitary to call on Blair at No 10 Downing St., said Blair had the political cache and the knowledge of the subject needed for help forge a worldwide consensus on a global-warming strategy.
