LOS ANGELES, June 22 (UPI) -- The wife of Joey Buttafuoco -- whose first wife was shot by his young lover, the notorious "Long Island Lolita" -- has called off their Los Angeles divorce.
Evanka Buttafuoco, 45, was granted a dismissal from the Los Angeles County Superior Court Thursday, The New York Post reported Friday.
She filed the divorce papers May 4 amid reports her husband and his former lover, Amy Fischer, were getting back together. Fischer's husband, Lou Bellera, filed for divorce in New York the same day.
Fisher and Buttafuoco made headlines in 1992 when they had an affair that ended in the then-teenage Fisher shooting Buttafuoco's wife at the time, Mary Jo, in the head.
Fisher, 32, and Buttafuoco, 51, were reportedly photographed kissing in New York just days after the divorce petitions were filed.
