Stalkers besiege Wash. state families

FIRCREST, Wash., June 20 (UPI) -- Three Fircrest, Wash., families are at their wit's end on how to deal with threats they have endured from an unknown group of cell-phone stalkers.

With local police unable to find any leads on the mysterious stalkers, those in the targeted families said they have been forced to endure repeated threatening phone calls during the last four months, the Tacoma (Wash.) News-Tribune reported Wednesday.

"They tell us that they see us," said Heather Kuykendall, whose family has been targeted. "They tell us that they know everything we're doing."

The threatening phone calls have even continued after the families changed their phone numbers.

In addition to the ominous phone calls, each family has been visited at home by unknown visitors who pound on their walls and scream at night.

The only true lead in the case was a trace on one call that led to a phone owned by a daughter in one of the targeted families.

The newspaper said she denied being behind the stalking and her family has supported her -- alleging her phone was hijacked electronically by the guilty parties.
