GAZA, June 20 (UPI) -- Israeli officials said their air force destroyed two rocket launchers in northern Gaza Wednesday after gunmen fired two Qassam rockets at Israel.
The rockets fired from east of Beit Hanoun landed in fields and caused no injuries or damage, said Ynetnews. Shortly thereafter, Israeli jets destroyed the suspected launching devices, reported Ynetnews.
Meanwhile, five Palestinian members of the Salah al-Din Brigades were killed Wednesday during a battle with Israeli soldiers near the border fence in central Gaza. One Israeli soldier and several other Palestinians were wounded in the fight.
In a separate battle, two Palestinian gunmen were killed by Israeli soldiers Tuesday night near Jenin, Ynetnews reported.
